Jeff Hall, President

Instrument-rated, Private Pilot

Jeff is a full-time software engineer who enjoys flying his Van’s RV-9A across Arizona. He also serves on the boards of EAA Chapter 658 and the Portable Hangarowners Association at the North Ramp hangar complex.

Davis Riffe, Secretary

Davis Riffe is a Certified Flight Instructor accepting new Private, Instrument, and Commercial students. He grew up in Washington, D.C. where he started learning to fly at the age of 9. Davis looks forward to helping students achieve their flying dreams!

Brian Roggow, Safety

Interim Dean, Assistant Professor, Chair, and Program Coordinator, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Brian is the associate dean for the College of Aviation, Prescott Campus, and department chair of the Safety Science department; he also supervises the Robertson Safety Institute (RSI) initiatives. He holds an M.S. in Safety Science, a B.S. in Aeronautical Science, and an A.A.S. in Administration of Justice. Before joining the faculty, he served as a Director of Aviation Safety; other roles have included flight instructor, standards check instructor, team safety leader, and assistant training manager. In his previous positions, Brian has been a team member in developing a Safety Management System, led the initiatives to implement an Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) and a Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) program, and had been recognized for efforts that have resulted in a positive safety culture and markedly reduced organizational accident rate. His research interests include aviation safety management systems, human factors, accident and incident analyses, and safety recommendation analyses. Brian is a commercial pilot, certified flight instructor (CFI), administrative pilot examiner (Admin PE-ACR), and an FAASafety Team lead representative, having been recognized as the 2017 FAASTeam representative of the year for Arizona and the FAA Western Pacific region. He is credentialed as a Certified International Safety Manager (CISM) by the International Society of Safety Professionals (ISSP) and a Certified HFACS Professional (CHP). Brian regularly presents by invitation for the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Transportation Safety Institute (TSI), teaching the Human Factors Analysis and Classification System (HFACS) to audiences that include FAA inspectors, military personnel, and private sector safety managers.

Lance McCuiston, Embry-Riddle Liaison

Assistant Professor and Assistant Chair, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Lance McCuiston earned a Master of Aviation Science in Safety from Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy.

With over 34 years of experience teaching aviation, Lance has flown over 30 military and civilian aircraft types. A 23-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he primarily piloted the F-15 Eagle and served in multiple wars and combat zones, earning numerous awards, including the Combat Air Medal.

Following his military service, Lance spent nine years as a flight, simulator and academic instructor with Lockheed Martin and Huntington Ingalls Industries for the USAF. He has also taught and mentored pilots and engineers around the globe, supporting Euro-NATO and other military commands in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Afghanistan, Iraq, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Italy, France, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Spain and the United Kingdom.

Lance, an internationally experienced aviation professional, has pursued continuous military and civilian education and training for over three decades. He maintains his flight instructor certifications, volunteers at veteran events, and supports aviation community programs. Passionate about mentoring the next generation, Lance devotes his time guiding youth in aviation, athletics and life.

Lance Leighnor, Website & IT Support

Lance got his start early in aviation, as he was always around his father’s home-built airplane, where he performed various tasks, including cleaning and organizing the hangar, and assisting his father with aircraft maintenance.

Lance is a member of EAA Chapter 658 (Prescott), EAA Chapter 952 (Verde Valley), and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA).
